🎤 The Music of Taylor Swift by Candlelight – Ely Cathedral
Calling all Swifties! On Saturday 25 October at 7pm, immerse yourself in a candlelit celebration of Taylor Swift’s hits. With a live band, a choir and ticket tiers from £30 (Band C) to £50 (VIP), this concert invites you to swap friendship bracelets and belt out favourites in one of England’s most spectacular settings. It’s an unforgettable way to spend an autumn evening.🎃 Anglesey Abbey Halloween Trail - Anglesey Abbey
It’s about to get spooky at Anglesey Abbey! Come along for an immersive adventure full of spooky games and challenges. Pick up a trail sheet and see if you can help Wanda the Witch’s friendly cat, Luna, find her way through the enchanted forest by solving the riddles. The trail runs from Saturday 25 October to Sunday 2 November and costs £6 per child, which includes a prize.
🦔 Half Term Hedgehog Discovery Morning - Stained Glass Museum
Celebrate our prickly pals with crafts, colouring and trails on Monday 27 October, 10am – 12pm. It’s Free to join; children must be accompanied by one grown-up (that adult enters free), with additional adults £6.50. No booking needed, just turn up and get hands-on. Donations towards craft materials are welcome. A gentle, curious morning for all ages.
🕺 Ely Halloween Disco - The Maltings
Shake off the autumn chill with two hours of spooky fun on Monday 27 October, 3pm - 5pm. Terry and Michelle Gauci host a kids’ disco packed with age‑appropriate tunes and fancy dress (optional but highly encouraged). Little ones aged 2 and under go free, adults pay just £1, and children aged 3–12 are £6. Expect loud music, disco lights and plenty of space for mini monsters to dance their hearts out – it’s the perfect way to start half‑term with a grin.
🔧 Ely Repair Café – Ely Library
On Saturday 25 October, 11am – 2pm, pop into Ely Library for this free, volunteer‑run repair café. Skilled fixers will help mend your broken electronics, textiles, toys and more, reducing waste and sharing useful tips. It’s a chance to save cherished items, learn new skills and meet neighbours over coffee. Bring something broken and leave with it – and your spirits – restored.
🎶 Love Notes – City of Ely Military Band – The Maltings
Cuddle up with your favourite people on Saturday 25 October at 7:30pm when the City of Ely Military Band presents “Love Notes.” This romantic concert celebrates classic love songs and ballards.
