  • 🎆 Soham Town Rangers Fireworks Display – Soham Town Rangers FC
    Sparkles and bangs return to Soham! Gates open at Friday 7 November, 5pm and the fireworks light up the sky from around 7:30pm. Expect rides, food stalls and a community vibe at this much‑loved display. Bring hats, gloves and oohs and aahs – fireworks season is here!

  • 🎸 The Beached Boys – The Maltings

    Surf’s up on the riverside as The Beached Boys bring a full evening of Beach Boys hits to The Maltings on Friday 7 November, 7:30pm – 10:15pm (doors 6:45pm). Expect flawless harmonies, sun-soaked California classics and a feel-good set covering all the big singalongs, with tickets from around £27.56. Grab your loudest Hawaiian shirt and make a night of it.

  • 🚲 Winter Wheeler! Free Bike Marking – Ely Train Station

    Get your bike winter‑ready at this drop‑in event. Experts from Dr Bike will check brakes and gears, there are free lights and bike marking, and you’ll find cycle maps and travel advice. It’s all happening Thursday 6 November, 11am, – 2pm, and it’s free. Roll up, get tuned up and ride safely through the darker months.

  • 🥃 Whisky Tasting – International Whiskies – The Yard by Silver Oak

    Sample six whiskies from unusual countries at this relaxed tasting hosted by whisky connoisseurs. Running Friday 7 November, 6:30pm – 9:30pm, the evening includes crackers and nibbles and is limited to just 30 guests. It’s an 18+ event, so leave the kids at home and enjoy a world tour in a glass.

  • 🎨 Winter‑Themed Watercolour Workshop – Tindalls Art & Graphics

    Painter Mo Childs leads a relaxed session exploring wet‑in‑wet techniques, colour mixing and composition.   • 🎭 I’m Muslamic Don’t Panik – Cambridgeshire Archives

    This pay‑what‑you‑can show mixes live music, breakdance, spoken word and comedy to tell one man’s journey from London to Iran. Performances begin Thursday 6 November, 7:30pm, and after the show you can enjoy Persian tea and date biscuits with the cast. Perfect for ages 12+, it’s a moving and funny exploration of identity and family.

  • ✂️ Seasonal Lino Printing Workshop – Wicken Fen Visitor Centre

    Create your own seasonal prints or Christmas cards during this all‑day session at the beautiful Wicken Fen. Local printmaker Judith Handley guides you through lino cutting and printing techniques from 10am – 4pm on Saturday 8 November.   • Young Footballers Shine at Ely Primary Schools Tournament

    Local Year 5 and 6 girls showcased teamwork and talent at a recent inter‑primary tournament at Ely Outdoor Sports Association. Several schools took part, with Ely St John’s winning the event, and ten young leaders from Ely College aided in refereeing, scoring, and warm-up sessions. Community spirit and support for women’s football were the real winners.
